  • Hello unapragmatica,

Thank you for contacting WooCommerce support.

I understand that you are facing difficulties with tracking the Purchase Event through the pixel you have installed on your site, both with a plugin and manually.

After reviewing your site with the Pixel Helper extension, I found some configuration issues with the events set up for your pixel. Here is a screenshot

I will also recommend checking out guide here to make share all steps were followed during the configuation.

To get a better look at how you have manually added the pixel code to your site, could you please provide a screenshot of the implementation? This would greatly help in pinpointing any potential coding issues or omissions.

Additionally, to assist you further, it would be helpful to review your site’s System Status. Here’s how you can share this information with me:

    1. Go to WooCommerce > Status on your WordPress dashboard.
    2. Click on ‘Get system report’.
    3. Then click on ‘Copy for support’.

After you’ve copied the system report, please paste the text into a new Gist at?https://gist.github.com. Once you’ve created the gist, kindly share the Gist URL here in your reply.

This information will help us understand the current state of your WooCommerce installation, including any potential conflicts or issues that might be affecting the pixel’s functionality.

Thank you for your cooperation, and I look forward to resolving this matter for you. ??

    Hi! Sure, thanks.

I’m looking the guide. I can’t identify where the problem could be, I’ll probably reinstall it, but for now I’m going to leave it like this in case you can identify the problem.

This is the manual implementation, throught WPCode plugin.
This is the status of Meta pixel for WordPress plugin.
Here you can see the connection of Facebook for WooCommerce plugin.
    And here’s my WooCommerce report.

Any information you need, do not hesitate to ask. Thank you so much.

    Hello unapragmatica!

    Thank you for your reply.

Upon reviewing your screenshots, I found a problem within your JavaScript code that seems to be contributing to the difficulties you’re experiencing with the Pixel code.

To resolve this, you’ll need to insert only the JavaScript code in WPCode. Importantly, please ensure that you do not include any?<script>?tags (both opening and closing) and also remove any HTML comments from around the JS code.

Here is a screenshot for your reference: https://prnt.sc/bOA1e22Bjd8e

I believe that making these changes should address the issue with the Pixel code not functioning correctly. Once you’ve made these adjustments, please let me know the outcome. If the problem persists, I’ll be here to assist you further. ??

    Best regards.

Hi @doublezed2, thanks for your response.

I tell you that I applied those changes, but I don’t see any changes. What I can confirm is that the errors that appear with the Meta Pixel Helper extension are generated by the script. If I deactivate the snippet they stop appearing. In any case, it doesn’t allow me to track the purchase conversion, which is what interests me.

I am evaluating the possibility of downgrading WooCommerce to a version that does not present problems (I have 8.2.2; on another site I have 5.3.0 installed and it works perfectly).

Data that may be relevant: my theme (Riverbank) comes with the Gutenberg block system, it already gave me problems with other plugins. I don’t know if it’s related. I also don’t have Jetpack running, it causes problems with my site.

Any information or recommendations are appreciated.

    Greetings.

    Hello unapragmatica,

    Thank you for your reply.

I understand that deactivating the snippet prevents errors but also stops you from tracking purchase conversions, which is crucial for your business.

Additionally, you’re considering downgrading WooCommerce from version 8.2.2 to a version like 5.3.0, which you’ve found to be stable on another site. Your theme, Riverbank, comes with the Gutenberg block system and you suspect it might be causing conflicts with other plugins. Also noted is that Jetpack is not active on your site due to issues it causes.

Before proceeding with downgrading WooCommerce, which can have its own set of complexities, I recommend performing a standard conflict test. This will help identify whether there is a conflict with the theme or any other plugin that could be causing this issue.

Here is our guideline on how to perform a conflict test: https://woo.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

By following these steps, you can systematically determine where the issue is originating from, which will be incredibly beneficial in finding a solution.

Please proceed with the conflict test and share your findings with us. Any additional information you can provide after the test will be greatly valuable in assisting you further.

Could you also share the latest screenshot of the snippet?
Taking another look at it might give us a new insight. ??

    Looking forward to your response.
