Earlier, I made a comment about RSS Aggregator dumping too many stories on my review page. This happened about the same time as my site receiving malware. The malware was removed and I’m ready to start my posts again, but I now have 7500 stories in my queue. Because my site is now super slow and I’ve done everything to get it back up to being speedy, I’m now thinking that the 7500 stories are to blame. Is there anyway to purge these stores and start fresh? It will take me days to remove these stories 20 at a time.

I deleted the plugin and reinstalled it, but the 7800 stories showed up again. My next item will be to start using another plugin, but I don’t want to change. I just need a simple answer.

Hi @rambosf, are the 7500 or 7800 stories referring to the imported Feed Items?

Are you currently using any of our premium add-ons, such as Feed to Post?

Please send along the RSS feed URLs that you are importing from.

Lastly, have you tried setting a limit on the feed source to only import and store a specific number of feed items? You can do this from the limit on the Edit Feed Source page.

Yes, those are the imported feed items. Now up to 8300+ stories.

    No premium add-ons.

The RSS feed URLS are all from google news. Here is an example of the URLs:

I first reported this issue three weeks ago and was told I needed to set my limits.

I just want to know how to purge these stores from my list, so I can start fresh. It looks like it is behaving again.

    Thanks for clarifying.

To bulk delete imported feed items, if you want to delete everything, there is an option to delete and re-import all feeds on the Debugging page of the plugin. Before using that option, pausing the sources will make sure they’re not automatically re-imported immediately (in case it doesn’t behave again as you mentioned).

If you’d like to choose which items to bulk delete, on the Feed Items page open the “Screen Options” on the top right and set your page limit to something bigger. You can then bulk select all the items to delete and choose the “Bulk Action” to Trash the items. You can then clear the trash and permanently delete them.

Just be sure not to set the number of items per page to a value that’s too large. I’ve personally had no problems with something like a number of 200 per page.

Do either of these options address your purging concerns?
