Push notifications

This plugin is working very well for me. Thank you! I just have a question that I can’t get an answer for anywhere.
Does anyone know why you can’t turn on notifications for your channel on the Apple News app? The bell icon doesn’t even show on the channel list. It’s not just for my channel IndieWatch you can’t turn notifications on. Other major channels such as engadget, lifehacker, Reuters, Men’sHealth etc won’t allow you to turn that on either.
