    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Although that sounds like a good idea, the plugin developer handbook recommends to create one .po and one .mo file per language (ref). Creating multiple files is not a problem for us at the moment, since we do it automatically thanks to GlotPress.

The space taken by the /languages/ folder is an issue, though. Luckily, that’s something that will be addressed in WordPress Core soon, thanks to language packs. They will allow users to download only the languages they need for each plugin / theme and for WordPress Core.
