Thanks for the feedback!
Some don’t even have their own wordpress accounts, because they have someone like me set it all up and don’t want their own account.
While we usually recommend that you invite your clients to create their own account, I can definitely see how the new Jetpack dashboard could be confusing to them, as it links to a space they can’t access. I created this issue to keep track of that problem, and we’ll address it in a future Jetpack release.
Stats in the dashboard are a must. they shouldn’t be removed from the nav bar. This new placement is buried.
We’ll definitely consider adding the menu item back. You can follow our discussion about it here (I also added a link to this thread there):

Until then, I’d recommend using one of the other 2 options to access the Old Stats page. Here is a quick video to demonstrate how to quickly access the old Stats page:
You could also install this small plugin to add the menu item back:

none of my clients want to log into wordpress.com to view their stats
If logging in to WordPress.com is not an option, what are the details you think would be useful to add to the new Jetpack dashboard to make it more useful? As @thaigerweb mentioned above, “A 5 minute look suffices for most”. What do you think is missing from the Jetpack dashboard today?
The advanced stats on WordPress.com also include information that’s not on the old stats page: unique visitors, geographical stats, insights. Would your clients be interested in seeing some of that data in the Jetpack dashboard?
It would also be interesting to know why they don’t want to log in to WordPress.com? We’ve built the new interface to make it easier to manage settings, publish and edit posts, view stats. They might be interested in that!
If some of your clients ever send you feedback about that interface, do not hesitate to forward it to us; we’re always interested in receiving feedback.
Thanks!
