Puts banner ads in the WP Admin

  • I have used this plug-in on many sites, probably at least 100 if not more. The spam banner ads on my the WP Admin is too far and an un-wanted addition. It’s a poor precedent for a prominent developer to include such obnoxious advertising in the admin panel.

    We understand that the Black Friday banner was annoying. Although it was dismissable, it was a bit buggy so last Thursday we released Yoast SEO v12.6.2 which completely removes the banner from the admin panel.     Appreciate the response… However, it was a poor choice to do this. Overly invasive… When you manage several WP sites, it grew overly annoying with EACH implementation.

    The public apology on social media, is considerably more thought out, than the original scheme.
