Does anyone know the best way of posting Renecio Book reviews to Social media? I’ve tried various social media plugins but haven’t found one that suits …

I have recently started to manage a prestigious Book Awards organisation. In order to make the updated book reviews compatible with the previous site, I have changed “/review/” to “/bookstore/” . Each Bookstore review has a short link j.mp/AwesIndBk??? where ??? is the “bookstore” catalogue reference number for the book.

1: is there anywhere or custom field to add this short link along with the post address? At present I’m adding it to “Extract” just to keep a record of it.

2: What I am trying to do is add (for example) a “Twitter” button on each book review page that a visitor can click to promote the book on their own Twitter feed. The Tweet would read (for example) “I #amreading the @Awesome_Indies Seal of Excellence #review for (name of book) at j.mp/AwesIndBk??? #AIBk”
Is there anyway to add a Twitter button that will do this or can anyone recommend a Social Media plugin that will do this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello again @barleymow,
I may have some knowledge on this. As is, the Recencio plugin works with any social sharing plugin. There is even an old support ticket here about this topic. With that said, I was working on my own light-weight social sharing extension for Recencio.

For item 1: You create a new custom metabox with the “Custom User Metadata” extension to store this additional information.

For item 2: That will take some custom coding, irrespective of social share plugin you use.

    1. I’m experimenting with the “Custom User MetaData” just to find out what it will do, so I’ll see what I can do here,

    2. I shall look forward to your light-weight social media share!

Thanks for your help again (and again, and yet again.) You honour us with your prompt replies!

Is this the “lightweight sharing extension” you referred to above?
