putting slider at bottom of page

Hi. I have a long side bar on the right side of most pages. For pages with shorter text in the main area on the left, how to I make the logo slider appear at the end of the page, beneath the right side bar that hangs lower than the main area? Adding the shortcode at the end of the text in the main area puts the slider right after the text, which then runs over on top of the copy in the right side bar. I would prefer not to shorten the width of the slider across-the-board for all pages by limiting it to the width of the main copy area. I’d prefer that it spans across the main body and the side bar, which it does fine as long as the main copy is long enough to run past the text on the side bar. Thank you.
