    Hello all,

Q2W3 does make all of my sidebar widgets sticky – except for an Amazon native ad that I’m displaying via the plugin “Advanced Ads”. This one simply stays in place is if no sticky magic had been worked on it.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Many thanks!

    Hi yawei,

I am the developer of Advanced Ads and I regularely suggest Q2W3 to users and am sure it works in most cases.

I would first take a look in the error console of your browser, see https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Using_Your_Browser_to_Diagnose_JavaScript_Errors. Maybe there is an error that prevents the Q2W3 scripts from working.

About possible issues with Q2W3 or settings, I hope someone else can jump in on this, too.

Max, that would be great. Can you send me a PM to ya.weiler@gmail.com, so I can send you the link (or temporary login). I don’t necessarily want to post the link here…

Thanks Thomas! I really appreciating you taking the time to contribute here. I hope I’ll figure out the rest with Max.

    Thomas, hello!
I have just took a look at yawei’s site. And the problem is that the widget has no id attribute:
    <aside class="widget bestp-widget">...</aside>
Other widgets has an id, so it’s not related to register_sidebar parameters.
Can you check widget init code? What is happening with widget id there?

    Hi Max,

the widget ID can be enabled in the plugin settings. We removed it simply because ad blockers used ids to identify ads and blocked them.

@yawei: you can disable the “Remove Widget ID” option in Advanced Ads > Settings > General.
