QR image has changed and original QR no longer works but we have printed it.

  • One of our qr codes was created last year with your plugin and has been printed on promotional literature. However the code no longer works.

    On checking the website it seems the qr code image has changed.

    It have noticed that the name of the qr code is now slightly different so perhaps this change caused the qr code to change.

    Is there any way to get the original qr code to work again?

    Further to last I have now set up a redirect from the old qr code url to the new qr code url so the issue is resolved for us. I would still be interested to know how this might have happened, is it possible for the qr code to stop working if the key is changed for example?

    Hello,
    the ‘Description’ of the QR-Code has no effect on the image, while the ‘Key’ affects the information embedded in the image.
    So, if you modify the Key then the plugin cannot recognize the old image, because it receives a request for a key that doesn’t exist any more.
