    Hi,
Business directory is a wonderful plugin. I’m trying to translate form fields on search widget, excerpt view and detailed view.
I need to display form fields in the correct language when the page is set on that lang.

qTranslate can translate strings using this method:

    <!–:it–>Prova<!–:–><!–:en–>Test<!–:–>

In this example, it displays “Test” when page is in english and “Prova” when page is in italian mode.

Thanks for your help. Have a nice day.
    P.S. Sorry for bad english.

I forgot to say a thing:

    if I put this: <!–:it–>Prova<!–:–><!–:en–>Test<!–:–>
into a field it will not display “Test” in an english page. ??

    Hi Simon,

Sorry that you ran into issues. Our support for qTranslate isn’t very complete because they don’t support custom post types.

Furthermore, the labels you’re using are ones that can be configured from Directory Admin->Manage Form Fields and I don’t believe they allow for HTML style comments to be used in the output. You can try it though and see.

We are working on WPML support and hope to release that shortly. We’re in testing with them right now and that seems to be working better in many ways.

?? no, label seems to doesn’t allow HTML comments.
My website is already configured to use qTranslate so I can’t switch to WPML only to transate few form labels.

Is there another way to translate labels?

    Thanks ??

You can translate them by changing their text under Directory Admin->Manage Form Fields for each field. That’s the supported way we have available today.

I know ?? but it doesn’t change when I change language with qtranslate ??

    That’s what I want.

Yes, I understand. To add that HTML support, you’d have to hack the plugin today.
