qtranslate slug selector unexpected behaviour

I think I have found the cause of this problem.

qTranslate Slug is providing its own modified language selector widget (simply called Language Selector) and is unregistering the one provided with qTranslate. However, it does not unregister mqTranslate Language Chooser widget as class names differ.

Try with the “Language Selector” widget. My tests showed that URLs became correct after that.

I will try to not register the mqTranslate language selector widget if qTranslate Slug is active.

We should probably write this in the FAQ of mqTranslate, don’t you think ?

We have chosen another approach. If qTranslate Slug is available, mqTranslate Language selector will adapt to mimic the one of qTranslate Slug. It should be transparent for users.

I don’t use qtranslate slug so can’t say for sure, any way I’m sure you can request any other changes to be made at the links above.

I need to deactive qtranslate slug to be sure that all language version of the website are working. With qtr slub activated only default language is working. The second produce message “page not found”

It makes no sense to me as I never used the plugin before maybe it helps you.

Also there is a reference to line 678 of the original plugin that may or may not need to be added, again maybe someone who has it working can comment.

I just installed qtranslate slug to test and it needs

To be added after line 678 code on that line is: ($req_uri = trim($req_uri, ‘/’);)

The widget they were referring to was mqtranslate has a language switcher widget (mqTranslate Language Chooser) and so does qtranslate slug (Language selector).

hi everyone, i’m unofficially maintaining qtranslate-slug. i’ll update the plugin on github with the code provided. my initial testing was unsufficient and only today i’ve noticed the problem.

i don’t have access to the wp plugin directory so please, download the latest version from github.
