    HI folks!

    Need some help here.

A few days ago I noticed the QTY function wasn’t working. For example on this link – the actual item had 6 in the 5ml variant and 3 in the 10ml. However after selecting either of these the user can still continue adding more than 6 and 3 respectively. This used to halt at the max qty available number until recently?

The only fix I’ve got so far is to limit to 1 per order for each item (!), so that the website can stay online. The other products have been switched to ‘one per order’ so you can see that in action too,

Theme used is PUCA -ecommerce theme.

    Hope you can help!

    Thanks @roxannestoltz

Has the issue been resolved with 7v.4?

The only fix I had is to make a fresh WP install on a different domain with v7.3. I’m worried that if I update this to 7.4 it will break again the qty function. The other ‘fix’ was to make every product “1 per order” – not a complete fix for me ?

The posts above mention maybe on the next update (7.5?) – do we have a timeframe for this. Unfortunatley has caused me no end of problems with my online business for 2+ weeks now.

    Thanks again.

    Hi @itsmefti ,

Apologies for any confusion I may have caused, and I hear your concern!

The quantity issue in itself is not yet resolved, and the fix is likely to be included with the 7.5 release, however, we, unfortunately, do not have an ETA on the next update release.

The other ‘fix’ was to make every product “1 per order” – not a complete fix for me ?

Just to clarify, as @tammullen mentioned here, when the quantity is increased to an amount above the available stock level, a notice appears indicating that You cannot add that amount of “{ variable product name }” to the cart because there is not enough stock ({ amount of stock } remaining).”

This being said, your customers would not be able to actually add that amount to the cart/order above your set stock level, even though they are able to increase the quantity selector.

Are you seeing this notice on your end when attempting to add more than the available set stock level, to the cart?

Once again, I am terribly sorry to hear that this has caused an impact on your site, and I can assure you that our developers are hard at work to get this sorted.

    Cheers!

    Ouch!

    OK, so to re-explain.

Once the 7.4 update hit – the qty function didn’t work at all – user can add 1 or add qty 10,000. This is very problematic. I had hoped it maybe a little piece of code that needed correcting.

I did the “deactivate” all plugins thing – no change.

    Re-activate 1 by 1 – no change.

Rolling Back to 7.3 on the original site – broke even more – with errors so I didn’t proceed with that.

In a panic i setup another site to get thngs back up and running. Here i STARTED with wc7.3 and this works without issues.

Ok my understanding is that we just have to await a fix? With no time frame. I’m sure you can understand my frustation ??

    Hi @itsmefti ,

Thanks for providing additional clarity ??

I absolutely hear your frustration, and while we are unable to provide an ETA on the fix, I can assure you that our developers are hard at work to get this sorted.

    Cheers!
