I have seen a couple of simular plugins in this area and all seem to generate an enormous amount of not very well structured HTML/CSS code. Before looking at this one, could anybode give me some conclusions on the generated HTML/CSS ‘quality’ of Page Builder?

Not to mention the influence on:
    – speed
    – Google aspects

    Thanks,

    Peter Luit

    Hi Peter

We’ve done a lot of work over the past two years to speed Page Builder up, both on the front and back end. We don’t currently have any benchmarking to offer. Hopefully, in the future we’ll have performance data to share with you.

With regards to markup, we think we have it covered ?? To see for yourself, install Page Builder by SiteOrigin, create a test page, click over to the Page Builder tab, click the Prebuilt button and then on the left use the Layouts Directory. Pick a layout and install it. That’ll give you a quick dump of Page Builder widgets and content. Save and check the page out on the front end of your site using your browser’s developer tool.

With regards to SEO, you can set the widget title tag so there is control in that area is provided. That setting is at Settings > Page Builder > Widgets > Widget Title HTML.

    All the best ??
