• Hiya,

So I’ve installed Event Espresso on a client’s site, that was not set up for custom menus. Of course the transaction pages need to be visible, so I have edited the functions and header php according to the instructions at https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Navigation_Menus

However, now the menu is not visible. Inspection of the style.css shows a very antiquated theme providing several css solutions for each and every browser.

Are there any wordpress wizards who can see a simple or other solution to my quandary? I’ve spent 4 hours over the quoted time on this job for my client and just can’t turn around and say: “sorry, this isn’t possible”. It is, I’m sure. But my brain hurts.

    The URL is https://www.nowrelate.com.

    Thanks in advance

Please note, I’ve closed that newer thread as a duplicate and unresolved this one and moved it to Hacks. Oh, and all caps is considered rude, please don’t do that either.

Don’t create duplicates, the other forum was close enough. It makes it harder for us volunteers to support you when you create duplicates.

No, it’s all good, not a problem. ??

Looking at your site, it looks like that’s a premium theme from a place called (unimaginably in my opinion…) PremiumThemes.

The custom menu should just work and be visible as it’s not a new feature. It could be you’re running an old copy of that theme, or they have a fix for you. Have you tried contacting them for support?

Yes I have – it’s from Templatic’s (which I think is now run through Envato)old site, so I think it is an early theme (2008) that no longer offers support. I have however emailed the developer…fingers crossed.

I posted here as well as I doubt I’ll get an answer from them for this theme. Any other suggestions or ideas in the meantime would be greatly appreicated…

Update: so it turns out I could have just used exclude in the wp_list_pages code. No need for custom menu added to old theme…

For anyone else experiencing this problem, I hope this information helps ??
