My website is not live to link to, but when adding / changing the quantity field in a grouped product, all the other products quantities change also, meaning other items are also added to the cart..

For example selling a Cake and the grouped items are cake – banana, cake – chocolate, when I select 1 banana, the chocolate quantity field also changes to 1.. When I remove the chocolate quantity the other product also gets removed, as if the fields are connected. This only is an issue on the grouped product page, not the cart or anything.

  • Hi @zavakz!

It looks like this could be happening due to a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.

To be sure, please perform a conflict test by temporarily switching your theme back to Storefront, disabling all plugins except WooCommerce, and then try to repeat the action that is causing the problem. If that solves it, then re-enable all plugins one-by-one, until you find the one creating the conflict.

You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/.

Let us know how that goes for you!

    Hi @judagutor

Thanks, yes it worked perfectly fine with Storefront.

I switched off all plugins and still the issue was present so I do not believe it is a plugin or at least an active one. I restored the database to yesterday, I also wiped the theme folder and downloaded again, no luck.

I am using ‘Responsive’ theme by cyberchimps and it should be compatible with WooCommerce also I do recall it working as when I added the products to the group and gave it a test I did not notice it happening like this so I’m a bit confused. I was trying to add individual basket buttons to the group product page so maybe I broke something.

I just did a complete fresh install of WordPress and the theme, still the same issue happens so I guess the theme or at least the template is not compatible.

Any idea what I could look at on the theme? I know it’s not WooCommerce’s concern.

    Hi @zavakz,

From what you’re saying it seems the culprit is your theme so make sure that your theme is up to date. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, we recommend reaching out to the theme developer directly for further assistance.

    Best regards.
