$term = get_term_by( ‘testimonials’, get_query_var( ‘5’ ), get_query_var( ‘Testimonials’ ) );

Don’t use $term = get_term_by( ‘testimonials’, get_query_var( ‘5’ ), get_query_var( ‘Testimonials’ ) );

Use this
$term = get_term_by( ‘slug’, get_query_var( ‘term’ ), get_query_var( ‘taxonomy’ ) );
print_r($term);

query_posts(“post_type=testimonial&cat=6”);

or query_posts(“post_type=testimonial&cat=”. $term->term_id);
