Quest and WP 5

  • I run two sites with the theme Quest, and I really like this easy and slim theme. Never realized so far that there were never any updates to it since 2016.

    Now, after updating WP to 5.2.2. I had some weird bugs: pages were impossible to save or publish, or a page would disappear (not to the basket, but really to nirvana) when another one was published. The Classic Editor Plugin didn’t really solve the problem, but it helped. Bugs aren’t consistent, sometimes it works, sometimes not. I backup everytime before I touch anything and I treat the site like a raw egg.

    Now: anybody else has experiences with the Quest theme and WP5? Please post!

  • I have the same problem as Daniel… installed WP 5.2.2 this morning. Now trying to edit the pages with Quest Page Builder only results in a black page.
    I would be glad if someone had a solution. I like this theme and that would be a pain to change.

    Hi Severine,
    your problem is actually a different one, but it leads to the same point: looks like Quest is not good to use anymore, because there are various bugs with WP5.
