I created a Calendly test account, installed the plugin and configured it on my client’s site as a test. It worked fine. However, now that he’s made his own account I can’t get it to show his calendar. I’ve revoked access from my account and I’ve double-confirmed that I am using his API token. But my calendar is still coming up instead of his. At first I thought it was a cookie issue but he accessed the WordPress page for the first time and my calendar is still showing up. I even tried it myself on a different browser but I get the same results.

    What am I missing?

    Hi there,

Could you click the “Sync” button on the Event Types page(WordPress Dashboard > Embed Calendly > Event Types) and let me know if this fixes the problem?

    Thank you.

    Thanks for your help.

Yes, I tried to sync before posting, and just tried again but no change.
    Any ideas?

    Hi,

If I understand you correctly, after changing the api key on the settings page, the events listed on the events page are still yours, instead of your client’s?

Also, did you try replacing the url in the shortcode to your client’s calendar URL? Did it bring up your client’s calendar or yours after doing this?

    Thanks

Yes, correct. I replaced the API key but no changes

When you say replace the url, what do you mean, specifically?

And if I clear the site cache in the admin panel could that fix it?

To get the calendar to show on a page, you paste this shortcode on the page: [calendly url="https://calendly.com/example/call" type="1"]

You need to replace https://calendly.com/example/call with your client’s event/calendar url.

When you try clearing the cache in the admin panel, did that fix it?

If clearing the cache doesn’t work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin and let me know if that fixes it.

Sorry for the late reply. I was out of town on business last week.

So I’ve tried everything at this point, minus editing the DB directly and removing any added fields from the plugin. Nothing seems to fix this.

I should also let you know that I’m using a WP multisite. Not sure if that has any bearing at all.

    To recap:

    1. I replaced the API token that was from my account with the client’s API token.
    2. I cleared cache on both the main network site and on his child site.
    3. I deactivated the plugin from the main network site and reactivated it.
    4. Cleared cache yet again.
    5. Removed the API string altogether to get it to error out on purpose, hoping something stuck might clear.

    No dice.

I’m really scratching my head here because one would think that with all these steps something would work. It just doesn’t make sense.

    Thoughts?

Thank you again for your help!

    Hi Shycoder,

Thanks for your help so far. I’ve decided to give cleaning up the DB a try before contacting Calendly. I’m using Advanced Database Cleaner plugin. Can you tell me what to look for in the DB? I’ve already deleted your plugin and intend to delete any records in the database related to it.

    Thank you.

@chunky2010 ?Please don’t offer to send or post logon credentials on these forums: https://www.ads-software.com/support/guidelines#the-bad-stuff

It is not OK to offer, enter, or send site credentials on these forums. We don’t want to encourage others to do similar things. It’s a fine line, but one that we need to enforce. Thanks for your cooperation.

@turn2honey I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for or accept credentials on these forums.

    https://www.ads-software.com/support/guidelines/#the-bad-stuff

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us escalating this to the plugins team.

It’s never necessary to do that. Here’s why.

There are many ways to get information you need and accessing the user’s site is not one of them. That’s going too far.

    You get the idea.

Volunteer support is not easy. But these forums need to a safe place for all users, experienced or new. Accessing their system that way is a short cut that will get you into real trouble in these forums.

    Hi Shycoder,

Have you been able to find out anything new about my problem?

    Thanks,
