Question about Dreamhost hosting for wordpress.

  • Got a question about Dreamhost hosting for WP.

    I know that WP partners with Yahoo hosting now and it’s got some cool features like Askimet and it will automatically upgrade new versions of WP for us.

    Does anyone know if Dreamhost or if any of the other WP webhosting partners does this? If so, which ones because I’d like to know.

    I should note that I currently use A Small Orange Hosting and I’m happy with them. But the whole thought of upgrading to new WP versions and such is a pain at times and not one of my strongest assets.

    A Small Orange has never been the subject of anything but praise from any poster here.
    The same cannot be said of Dreamhost – not by a long way.

    ASO are an excellent host.
    As for upgrading, it’s not as arduous as you may think, the guides do work and if you ask someone may even do it for you ??

    dude, drop DH fast, I lasted 3 weeks, Y! now, gotta go with the support, Y! ain’t goin anywhere…

    I’m a bit disappointed with DH because it has some things disabled (FOPEN) and some plugins (notably, RumMovie and others that use FOPEN) won’t work on a DH-hosted WP blog. That. sucks. eggs.
