Question about get_the_time()

    Does get_the_time() return the date the post was created or does it return the last modified date?

    I’m 99.44% sure that it’s the date the post was initially published. I modify old posts all the time (spelling mistakes from years ago…) and I have not see those post dates change once.

    Hey Henry, by default it will return the time that your post has been published.

    For me, the last updated date is being returned. Any idea why this is happening? I, like yourselves, thought the creation date would be returned but on my install it seems to be the last updated date.

    Guys, yes, it does return the date created. I can confirm that after checking on a fresh site.
