Question about Kaf’s “Display by Catalog” loop

Can Kaf’s “Display by Catalog” loop (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/38046?replies=53) be additionally hacked so that:
1. ONLY the latest post (one single post) per category is displayed.
2. The categories always appear in a specific order (say, by cat ID)
