Question about <blockquote>

If you look at the css (https://davidhoefler.com/blog/rsc/basic.css) you’ll see how the blockquote is being styled.

I’m the newest newbie on here most likely. How can I make that work for me?

Just add this code to your CSS file of your theme.

That should be padding: 0 1em, shouldn’t it?

Yes it should. That was copied straight from the reference blogs style sheet its a wonder the code renders correctly.
