Question about setting fonts

  • Hello all!

    I am super new to wordpress and still figuring things out, so excuse the easy question.

    Under customizing<fonts there are the body and header font names/style/set.
    Right now it is set to Raleway:400,500,600.

    Would someone be so kind to explain what the numbers represent, what they control, and what would happen if I were to change them?

  • They are the ‘weight’ of the font with the highest number being the heaviest or boldest.

    So why three numbers? Why not just have one weight value

    Raleway:400,500,600. – most probably you are see section where file is loading font from google fonts repo, this means you are loaded 400,500,600 font weights from google fonts repo ??
    please note, this does not means you used all font weights,
