    Hello

I was perusing other people’s questions and saw that you plan to change the slug to “events” instead of “qsevents”? At the moment I am using The Events Calendar in combination with Open Tickets and it uses the slug “events”. Will I still be able to use both plugins or will they conflict?

I also have a question about using coupons. I was able to enter a coupon code successfully on the cart page, but when I went to the checkout page it asked again at the top if I had a coupon. I don’t remember there being a double field entry like that when I was using WooCommerce alone without OpenTickets. Is my memory incorrect or did something change with OpenTickets causing this double field issue? Thanks

    Hey @chelys,

Good questions. First, for the ‘slug’ in the urls, the plan is to actually keep the current slug of ‘qsot-events’, but to add a setting in the OpenTickets settings page that allows you to customize it. With that in mind, you will not be able have both The Events Calendar and OpenTickets Community Edition both assigned the ‘events’ slug. Only one can have a given slug at a time. Doing otherwise will cause problems.

For the second question, I have taken a look on several of our dev environments. The only thing I can think you may be talking about is what is depicted in the following image, at the top of the checkout page: https://opentickets.com/imgs/coupon-question.png . If that is in fact what you are asking about, I’m fairly confident that has been there for quite some time with core WooCommerce, as kind of a last chance to get a discount before you complete your checkout. The easiest way to test if OpenTickets is affecting that box though, would be to deactivate OpenTickets, and then do a regular checkout. I did some personal testing on this as well, and I still see the box up there even when OpenTickets has never been installed.

    Hopefully that clears things up,

Thanks, as always, @loushou. So, just to be absolutely sure I understand correctly, as long as I leave the slug as it is now, and don’t customize it, I will be able to continue to use both plugins, right?

As for my Woocommerce question, I think I know now why I didn’t see it before on the cart page (but only on the checkout page) , because I was using a cart widget and not the actual page. So the first time I saw the coupon field was at checkout. Thanks for checking into it for me.

    Hey @chelys,

That is absolutely correct. As long as you don’t change the slug manually, or you change it to something other than /events, you will be able to continue using both plugins with no problems. And no problem for looking into the WooCommerce question. Using the widget instead does explain why you n ever saw it before for sure. ??

    Glad to help,
    Loushou
