    Hello,

I have a few tables here with a big overhead (total overhead 49MB, 132 Tables, Total size of database: 363.70 MB).

    My questions are:
    1. The tables that do not have any plugins associated to them (ie: _1XN_postmeta). How can I reduce the overhead on these and optimize them?
    2. The tables that do have any plugins associated to them, how can I reduce the overhead on these and optimize them?

    1. You can do this by going to Database>>Optimizations >> Optimize database tables. This will optimise all tables in the DB regardless if wether they have a plugin associated with them
    2. In the Premium version, you can goto Database>> Tables and you can click “Optimize” to optimize the individual table (it will tell you what plugin it is associated with ). In the free version there is no way to optimise individual tables and you would need to optimise the entire DB as per point 1.

    Hello @vupdraft

But after I optimize them, the overhead is still there?

    Hi,

In which case the tables just have a lot of content in them (this is often the case with tables such as the post meta and the options tables). You will probably find that optimising them reduces the overhead but does not get rid of it completely.
