Question about templates — creating multiple pages…

    I’m not sure exactly where to begin with this, but here’s what I’d like to do: we are trying to set up a lab website, and one of the sections will be “Projects”, with subpages for each of the projects. When someone makes a new Projects page (say, “Project X”), we’d like a *set* of pages and posts to be created automatically, e.g. “Project X – About, Project X – Publications, Project X – Data, Project X – News). Is there any way to do this? I am a total noob with WordPress, we just got it up and running last week and I know nothing of PHP, so the easier the better. Thanks!
