• I suspect that being in a hurry is making the moderators make mistakes. The reason I am addressing these mistakes is because these mistakes are costing others, like me, money.
I posted TWO DIFFERENT topics /questions. Yes, I did mention my first problem in the second question, but the second question was triggered by the fact that i realized I was not going to receive a timely answer. So I changed my focus, and encountered a different problem, which I had a different question about.
I received this message on second and DIFFERENT question- “Hi?@chazzymmann?please don’t post duplicate threads here:?https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/how-to-add-items-to-the-main-header-menu/
Duplicate threads clutter things up around here and make it more difficult for folks to help you. A representative for that free theme will reply there as soon as they can.”
They then cancelled out my question so no one could answer.
This was wrong, and all it would have taken is someone being a little patient, and using some critical thinking.
My second question should not have been cancelled out by a moderator. it had been over 4 days, and I had no answer to my first question, so I had to make different choices as to what I was going to do. I could not make any money waiting for people who obviously had no time or desire to help.
My second question should have been left to stand.
Has anyone else had this problem with the wordpress forums?
This problem, combined with the problem of no one being able to or taking the time to answer my questions, strikes me as odd, coming from the most widely used website builder in the world…….

    Happy to answer!

“I cannot add menu items pointing to my other pages in the menu in my headers” https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/i-cannot-add-menu-items-pointing-to-my-other-pages-in-the-menu-in-my-headers/ under the Fixing WordPress forum is the same request as “how to add items to the main header menu” https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/how-to-add-items-to-the-main-header-menu/ under your theme’s forum. In both, you are unable to add items to your theme’s menu.

Since these issue can often be theme issues, and the theme’s designers and users are more equipped to support that anyway, your thread under Fixing WordPress was closed in favor of the thread under your theme’s support.

i realized I was not going to receive a timely answer.

The theme’s support replied to your support thread with them less than a day after you posted your duplicate thread.

My second question should not have been cancelled out by a moderator. it had been over 4 days, and I had no answer to my first question.

That actually makes it harder for people to help you, and drains the resources of the volunteers. People actively look at un-answered posts to see what needs help. Making multiples means more posts to look at, and less time to help each person: https://www.ads-software.com/support/forum-user-guide/faq/#should-i-repost-my-question-if-no-one-answers

the problem of no one being able to or taking the time to answer my questions, strikes me as odd

WordPress is free software, built and supported entirely by volunteers. The same goes for the theme you chose.

It may take some time for someone to reply to you depending on your question. You theme does have a paid premium version which offers priority support if you really do need quicker answers from them.
