• Resolved Ate Up With Motor

    Hi,

I have a question. I have UpdraftPlus 1.7.3 on WordPress 3.6.1. I noticed that when I schedule a backup, the log shows me the local time as defined in the general settings. However, if I open the backups, logs & restoring window to review the latest backup sets, the dates and times shown are the UTC time of that backup, not the local time. This isn’t a big deal, but it’s potentially confusing if there are several sets from the same day that are fairly close together (e.g., if I’ve updated or changed a plugin and need to undo some change that’s broken something).

Is there a way to get the log to reflect the local time?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Time zones in the ‘Restore’ section – well spotted! That’s a bug. Now fixed in the development version: https://updraftplus.com/faqs/devversion .

If you’re reading the log files via direct download, then log files are considered internal info, for debugging/trouble-shooting; hence the timestamps in log files are standardised.

    Best wishes,
    David

Will the fix be incorporated in the next official update? (I’m not the most technically skilled, so I tend to be hesitant about beta versions.) If so, I might wait for that. It’s a minor point at present.

    Thanks!

A new version is being released tomorrow (all being well), so it makes no difference either way.
