Question about upgrade and subdomains

Currently creating a new website for a friend, temporarily on a subdomain of his old (and outdated) website. If I buy now the plugin upgrade (not sure to accomplish everything within the 7 day trial period), it will be linked to the (temporary) subdomain, I think. Is there a way to update the registration on the day when everything moves “up” to the main domain?
