Question about userdata array and wp_insert_user

  • Quick question:

    The userdata array that is the argument for wp_insert_user has the following fields according to the Codex:

    user_pass
user_login
user_nicename
user_url
user_email
display_name
nickname
first_name
last_name
description
rich_editing
user_registered
role
jabber
aim
yim

    Is there a way to add more fields to that array? Could I simply create my own field in the array and assume it’ll save the data to the database?

    Anyone had experience with this?
