    Hi,

We run an online pet store with WC Vendors setup (for our suppliers)

The suppliers don’t manage their stores, we do. (we loaded their products into their stores and we get the orders and fulfil it (they do not want to be involved in the store management side so we do it and only send them orders)

    That said…

We do want to send them an email whenever someone orders one of their products, to see of they have it in stock or not. If they come back and say it is on stock, we will formally send them an order and arrange for delivery to our customer)

Of course an order can have multiple products in it from various suppliers. We need each supplier to get an email regarding their product and the avaiablinily of the product.

Is there a way you know of we can have these emails send each time an order is placed?

Your help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks again,
    Riaan

  • Hi Riaan

We have a vendor order notification email that should be enabled by default. If this email isn’t enabled you can go to WooCommerce > Settings > Emails and enable it.

To ensure this goes to the various suppliers, you would need to add/update the email address you want to send the order nnotification to on the user’s profile.

    cheers,

    Jamie.

Thank you so much for your response Jamie.

I’ve followed your instruction and only find 1 email called ‘WCFM – New Enquiry’ – is this the one you referred to?

If so, how can I go and edit what the email sends to my vendor?

All I need is for them to see what was ordered and tell me if it is in stock (they don’t have live stock feeds)

    Thanks a million.

    Hi Riaan,

Are you sure you’re using WC Vendors Marketplace? That email is not from our plugin but from one of the alternatives on the market.

If you were using our free product or pro product, you can provide a slimmed-down dashboard and vendor alerts for the suppliers. You could also have them manage product inventory levels for those products as well if you’d like.

    cheers,

    Jamie.
