Question about WordPress

Hello,

I just installed the latest version of wordpress and I had a question about how the pages work. Does wordpress automatically start a new page after a certain amount of posts so the page does not scroll forever to the last one.

If wordpress does not automatically do this, what is the best way to make this happen.

I am not a fan of a page that scrolls forever and ever. It is nice when there are like 10 posts per page.
