Question for the WP guru’s?

  • Greetings –

    I have seen the other posts regarding the visual rich editor but I did not see my current issue discussed. When I am at home on my Toshiba laptop the visual rich editor is NO longer working. However, when I get to work and log onto my Dell it miraculously works? Both machines are running the same version of XP Pro? Any help is greatly appreciated!

    p.s. just using WP only at work is not an option ??

  • I’ve noticed that the admin panel displays differently depending on the browser I’m using. Are you using the same browser at home and at work?

    Apologies – it was early when I posted. Yes, same broswer, IE or FF does not matter. Really strange that the visual editor displays when I use my computer at work but not on my machine at home.

    I saw something about re-uploading the wp-includes but that doesn’t seem to be an issue since it works on one machine…?

    Have you checked to see whether your settings are the same on both machines?

    There are two places in WP that set the visual editor. Have you checked both?

    Thank you for your reply! Yes, settings are the same on both machines. However, just this morning the visual editor dissappeared on my work maching, as well.

    Specifically, today, while working on a post (with visual editor), I hit control >> f5 to clear out my cache and bingo the visual editor is now gone from my work computer too. Do you, or any guru’s, know why that would happen?
