Trying to get ‘Highlight Search Terms‘ plugin to work with Autoptimize.

If ‘Optimize Javascript Code’ is off, the Highlight plugin works (search term is highlighted in results). If ‘Optimize Javascript Code’ is on, it does not work (nothing is highlighted).

The Highlight plugin uses the file hlst-extend.js, so I added that to the ‘Exclude scripts from Autoptimize’ and emptied cache. Still, nothing is highlighted after a search.

What am I not getting? ??

the two most plausible reasons; either hist-extend.js relies on jquery.js and/ or it (also) relies on inline javascript. have a look at your browser’s (error) console what pops up there (e.g. jquery not defined points to jquery being required) and exclude accordingly.

    hope this helps,

Hello, the jquery.js was the issue. I excluded that as well and now it works. ?? Thank you. I just made another Kiva loan on behalf of this plugin.
