Question on Instant Lockout

Does the instant lockout feature merely lock someone out of the admin area OR does it render the entire site locked out for that person/IP?

We had some folks get the White Screen of Nothingness & I was a dummy & typed ‘admin’ without thinking. I’m wondering if I caused their lockout as we’re on similar IPs.

I kinda hope I did as that would solve my troubleshooting on this ??
