Question on sidebar with widgets

  • hi, i have installed wordpress 2.8.4 and using the latest k2 theme,

    in dashboard i have enabled and dragged some modules to my sidebar1, but i also want to include the featured content gallery in my sidebar which requires me to add in the php code manually,

    i have tried looking thru sidebar.php but i can not find any place to place the code so that the gallery will display on my sidebar,

    for example, when i add the widget of categories, <div id=”categories-3″> just pops up from nowhere and i can not find where it is located in sidebar.php

    please help

  • did you try putting the fcg code in a text widget?

    i can not put use the text widget because it only allows html, and im trying to put php in the sidebar

    i tried it but the featured gallery does not load in the exec-php, and i also get this error

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/charles/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/exec-php/includes/runtime.php(42) : eval()'d code on line 9

    is there anyways that i can manually add in the php codes in the sidebar files?

    because when i use the widget on the side bar, it seems to cover all my <div classes> and php codes on sidebar.php files with the new codes of the widgets,

    so i want to squeeze in a <?php> codes in between these widgets codes, but i can not find where these codes come from
