Question on Theme Loading Speed

    I have used a wordpress theme for quite some time now, and customized it heavily. Lately it seems to take forever to load and I am worried that this is turning users away from my site. I have other wordpress builds that I run on the same domain that load much faster so I have narrowed down that the theme may be the cause.

    Is there a way to “trim” it down or optimize it for speed? Any help is greatly appreciated.
