Question regarding a fast lightweight theme that works well with WooCommerce

    I have a webshop using Woocommerce and Storefront By Automattic.

    The reason I chose Storefront were several. The same developer as WooCommerce, WooCommerces “official” theme and it’s lightweight and fast-loading. I’m quite happy with Storefront and their support is very good. Still I find the theme has a bit dull design so I was looking at other themes in case I should change theme.

    I have two questions maybe somebody could answer:
    1. I was comparing Storefront, Astra and Ocean WP:
    Storefront: 100’000 installations, rating 4,5, 146 votes.
    Astra: 1’000’000 installations, rating 5, 5414 votes.
    OceanWP: 700’000 installations, rating 5, 5521 votes.
    All three themes have good ratings, but Astra and OceanWP have five times more voters than Storefront, when looking at the ratio numbers of installations vs votes. Why is it like that?

    2. What I want from a theme for my webshop is that it should if possible be free, work well with WooCommerce, be lightweight, fast and no need for lots of fancy features. I also do my best to avoid using unnecessary plugins and I don’t use pagebuilders. Actually I like Gutenbergs block editor.

    What’s your opinion, should I stay with Storefront or should I try some theme like Astra, OceanSP, Neve etc?

    These forums are for supporting those experiencing problems with their WordPress websites (WordPress code, and add-ons from this site such as plugins and themes). – This is not a support topic.

    This is an opinion/discussion piece and that’s not appropriate on this site. You’re not looking for WordPress support, you want to have a conversation about if some theme is for you. Which is fine but again not here in these support forums.

    I suggest you try social media, a blog, other discussion sites, or request feedback from your friends, family, etc..

    Regarding question no 1, IMO it’s a very legit question and have nothing to do with opinions.
