Questionable login to email account after installing this plugin

    Hi,

    I just installed this plugin on a website this week, with a brand new email account and password setup especially for its configuration.

    Two day’s later (today) I received an email notification saying someone in Bulgaria had signed into the new email account used for the SMTP plugin settings.

    Has anyone else experienced similar activity from using the plugin?

    Hi, sorry to hear about your issue. However your issue is not related to our plugin. This is related to your sites security configuration. What type of security have you set up in your site?

    I’ll run some scans on the site and see how I can increase security further.

    Hi, there some great security plugins here in wordpress repository. One that I recommend is All In One WP Security and Firewall https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall/.

    Yeah I had All in One already installed, and with the firewall activated. I’m a little baffled as a scan came back clean also.

    I’ll just have to keep an eye on it.
