    Hi,

I’ve been holding back on updating to 3.9.0 because it seemed like there were quite a few changes made and I was concerned if the code was stable. My other concern was with these two items:

Add – Tracking for checkout start and completion
Add – Tracking for when platform checkout is offered

Is this tracking something that can be turned off, and are any hooks provided for my own purposes, or is this for WooCommerce internal tracking only? Privacy issues come to mind, and is there any chance it would slow down payments or transactions by introducing non-essential HTTP requests?

    Thanks for your help,

    Mike

I did verify that WooCommerce usage tracking is already turned off for my site, assuming that would negate any potential performance impact.

    Hey Mike,

The notes there are related to a hidden feature that is under private beta right now, so no tracking has been enabled for you by this change! Once this new feature is publicly available, the feature along with its associated tracking will be opt-in only.
