Dear Support – I looked at the plugin & documentation. It’s heartening to see so much passion gone into this :). While everything looks great, we have some questions. To clarify, we currently use RankMath and we are reasonably happy with them. The reason, we are looking for switching over are:
    1. Support for WP Foro? – I saw this thread that says that WP Foro is supported. Just wanted to confirm it. Rankmath doesnt support WP Foro and while WP Foro says that they have optimized their plugin for SEO, we see room for improvement. I did check the website before asking this question and could not find anything. Kindly advise.
    2. Migration from Rank Math – I saw that you don’t have a migration path from Rank Math and we are comfortable doing this manually using the documentation that you have provided. We have SEO edited many posts manually (Meta Title & Meta Description) that we don’t want to lose. My question was if this is the right direction or would over-wrting TSF fields cause any issues? Kindly let me know.

Thanks for building this wonderful plugin and your AI looks like a perfect fit since we are a community website where our members generate a lot of content. I just wish, I could have found you earlier.

    Regards

    Hello!

Sorry for my belated reply — it got me into a busy week.

    1. TSF should fully support WPForo: I added tailored support for that plugin in TSF.

    2. I recommend manually migrating titles/descriptions as you see fit. TSF integrates brilliantly with the quick-edit feature of WordPress to make this easy. If you’re talking about a few dozen of pages, this process should not take long, albeit tedious. If you’ve customized hundreds of pages, you may need to migrate first to Yoast SEO to then transfer its data to The SEO Framework via SEO Data Transporter. The end result might not be as pristine as you’d like, and manual inspection is necessary.

    I hope this clarifies that!

Hi @cybr – Thank you for the reply. And the mechanism to migrate through Yoast looks attractive, we would need to just spend sometime to understand how to clear all of Yoast data after we are done.

We would give TSF a try and if everything works then we would plan the migration. Thanks for building a performance friendly plugin. Pretty crucial but hard to achieve at times.
