Quick advice for new AMP issue with Google
-
Hi all, I have been using AMP for a few months now, this morning Google sent me 5 critical errors and 2 non-critical. I see they’ve been there since around November. My sense is that this would all be too hard to fix and I should just disable AMP. It is disappointing as I’m sure that it is not the intent of WordPress or Google to make this hard, but I just think it will be. So that’s my question, given the below info, how hard is this? I’m not a web developer, though I have good infrastructure skills. I set the site up myself (self hosted, with a purchased theme).
The errors I get are:
Issue / Number of pages with issues
Invalid CSS stylesheet / 1
Prohibited or invalid use of HTML Tag / 1
AMP mark-up missing or incorrect /1
Prohibited HTML Tag with AMP or equivalent / 1
Use of deprecated tags or attibutes (non-critical) / 39
Add AMP structed data, if supported / 2My site is https://www.tech-knowhow.com
What do you think, is this a plugin bug or is it something I’d have to fix?
FYI I’m using the YOAST Glue (in case that’s known to cause anything).
Thanks.
