• Hi,

I had an issue where I am no longer able to use the “quick edit” function in wordpress admin.

I am using the below plugins.

    Akismet
    CloudFlare
    Limit Login Attempts
    Redirection

I deactivated them all but still the issue existed.

I them changed the theme from Hueman to twenty twelve and I had that functionality back again and could edit posts inline using quick edit.

I was surprised that it was the theme that was causing this issue as its a great theme I was expecting it to be a plugin.

Do you know what in the theme might be causing this. Could it be google analytics as I have some code in the theme for that. I have a child theme css but havent made many other changes to the theme.

    Thanks

I should mention that I have this issue in google chrome as well as the latest version of IE. I havent tried on firefox.

    thanks

    Hi!

Strange. The theme code itself should not cause that, so it is probably the theme options framework, OptionTree that does it. But I’ve had no other resorts of it.

Make sure you have the latest available version of WordPress.

    Hi,

I have the latest version of wordpress installed.

I just need to bulk edit posts from a category so the quick edit and bulk edit doesnt work with the theme at the moment. The workaround I guess will be for me to move to the twenty twelve temporarily and then switch back after I’ve finished which is better than individually editing each post. Not a big problem as I rarely will need that functionality.

If I find a fix I will let you know.

    cheers

    Hi

Is there a way to deregister optiontree to check if its the one causing the issue since its contained in the theme code?

    thanks
