Suddenly, quick edit is no longer working on my site. When I click “quick edit” in the list of events, it causes the event to disappear.

  • Hi @teqtoo,

Please be sure to update your WordPress installation and our core calendar plugin to the latest versions, then try again — if you are already using the latest versions or if this problem persists, the cause is most likely a result of a plugin or theme conflict (usually caused by a caching or security plugin).. Please try a different theme temporarily such as Twenty Seventeen, or, disable all plugins and then check if the problem recurrs — then re-enable each one until you find which one caused the problem.

    Let me know the results.

It seems that the problem is caused by a little outdated plug-in named “Slideshow” by Stefan Boonstra. It was last updated 2 years ago, but I have quite a few slide shows on this website that I really don’t wish to have to re-create. So maybe I’ll just have to do without “Quick Edit” for the time being, until I have time to recreate the slide shows using a more updated plugin. Unless there’s a workaround…?

    Hi @teqtoo,

    Glad you figured it out.

Unfortunately, this is the only problem reported of this type, so there’s no history of any workaround on record. The only workaround I can come up with, is to use regular edit, instead of quick edit, until you come up with either an updated version of the plugin which is compatible, or switch to a differnet slideshow plugin.
