Quick edit feature for media library

  • I’ve seen two other posts requesting this and they were closed two years ago and one year ago, respectively.

    What is the change of getting the quick edit feature in the media library? I work with an offline blog editor that I then relay to WordPress, and it would make Title, tagging and captioning a lot easier.

    All topics are automatically closed after 12 months but all I can say about the media quick edit is that it definitely won’t be in WP .3.4

    Do you happen to know if there’s a reason for this? Is it super difficult to integrate, or something WordPress just wants to avoid for some reason? (What reason?)

    3.4 has been feature frozen now. It’s too late in the development cycle for a new feature.

    Would love this feature. <rant> WP should be focused on developing the UI for content management – not developing gimmicky UI for changing layout presentation. 3.4 is a step in the wrong direction. </rant>
