• Hi,

Just road testing the grids block. Some observations.

If I select 100vh for the main section it is only reflected on the front end.

Numerical values are not being entered when I type in any of the margin and padding fields.

If I configure the section align-wide,then extend to viewport sides, viewed on the front end I get a small bit of horizontal scroll. (might be theme specific. Divi child theme with align-wide and align-full configured and wrapped in a Toolset/Divi single template on the front end.)

A long grid item along the bottom, under some column items, doesn’t visually stretch to the sides in the block editor.

This is a general block editor/Wordpress issue —?setting values for viewports via the Desktop/Tablet/Mobile selector doesn’t yet set the block editor to preview these viewports.

    Hi there,

first off, thanks so much for testing Grids, it really helps moving the plugin forward, and we definitely appreciate it!

    Regarding your questions:

    1. Concerning the visual representation of measurements on the backend, at the moment we’ve made a conscious choice not to display them, because Gutenberg UI is still a bit wobbly, to be honest. We’ll work on this, anyway.
    2. Numerical values are not being entered when I type in any of the margin and padding fields. You’re not the first one reporting this, but unfortunately we couldn’t replicate the issue on our local machines; would you mind sending us credentials to your website via email at [email protected], so that we can take a look?
    3. Yep, that is theme specific, but we’ll have a round of tests on it as well.
    4. We’d need to see your setup for the long grid item at the bottom too (see point #2).

Again, huge thanks for your input. If we can take a look at your setup, we’ll fix these issue and release an update ASAP.

    Hi there,

we have released an update to the plugin with several fixes here and there, and one that could potentially interest your problem of not being able to input numeric values in dimension fields. We’re not sure that the update fixes the issue, because, as we’ve told you, we couldn’t replicate the issue on our local machines, however we’d like your feedback on this.

You might need to clear your browser’s cache before testing the update.

Also, should the problem still be present, could you please send us via email ([email protected]) the report generated by the Site Health component in WordPress? It’s located under Tools > Site Health > Info, in you WordPress admin dashboard.

    Many thanks!

    Andrea
