    Hi there,

    with a little help from the company that created the theme I use for my websites, I managed to fix the issues I had after upgrading to EBD 6.8

    Line 160 in wp-content/plugins/email-before-download/public/class-email-before-download-public.php

    Change
    public function ebd_the_download(){

    to
    public function ebd_the_download( $content ){

    This worked for my issues (excerpt not showing in Blog). Not sure if it will also work for the other issues ppl are reporting, but could be worth trying it out.
