My php is broken in the theme features section of my theme.

says there is an invalid “}” on line 507, my line 507 is blank. What do I need to do to fix this?

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘}’ in /home/williamb/public_html/wp-content/themes/autofocus/functions.php on line 507

    the line is blank.

well, I’m screwed, can’t even access my website or dashboard.

    williambordonaro.com is done for.

    Line 507 shouldn’t be blank. It should contain a closing brace; }

Have you considered just replacing the themes functions file with the one from your last backup?

Okay, then I’ll add one (i believe I tried that all ready), but I’ll try again.

How can I get back to the editor when I go to my site it just show’s up with that error?
I can’t login / get to dashboard or anything. Not sure how to edit code when i can’t get to it.

….And how do i replace it with my last backup? I’ve never manually backed it up and I have no idea how to access it.

    thanks for the reply btw.

Just download the theme again onto you desktop, find the functions file and use this to replace the old one

How do i get to the file? i used the auto update, so i’m not that savvy with going behind the hood.

What are the steps to getting to the file? I can’t open wordpress or login so do i go through mycp etc.?

Login in to your host account (control panel) replace the function.php in your theme’s folder with an older one from your last site backup (did you back up?)

didn’t back up, but I’ll download the files again from the theme.

    New to this, didn’t really foresee a problem… guess i’ve learned ??

    I’ll try that, thank you.

That worked and resolved, for now ??

The bracket wasn’t displayed in the editor after updating to 3.0, but when I went to the control panel for my host account, it was there and I deleted it.
