Quick Post Widget question

  • I am trying out the Quick Post Widget and it works great. My question is. Is there a way that you can make it so anyone can use it? I want to make it so any of my registered people can post articles and this would be perfect except only the admin can see it or use it.
    If not. Is there another widget that would allow refistered people to post articles?

  • @demdaco: upload uses Flash. Do you have Flash installed?
    Could you send me an email so we can try to find a solution for the upload function?
    I will think about direct upload buttons….

    Hi – does this work with WP3.0 Custom Post types? e.g. Submit a new Movie – opens window for users to complete custom taxonomies, select terms etc.? Thanks

    I’ve got this working well in a page but one thing which would be great is an upload option like in the quickpress widget in the admin dashboard on the quick post area rather than having to go into the visual editor? Also is there anyway to add a preview onto the same form?… similar to the way it works in the post form in the admin area? where it opens in a popup…

    @m4you: there is a great plugin for your purpose which I use on one of my sites: https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/youtube-thumbnailer/
    You can define a custom field “thumb” which works together with the theme you use on your site (which I use also).
    The plugin automatically performs thumbnailing.

    youtube youtube-thumbnailer is good but i have to put movies by embed of many players means videoweed, google. zshare, megaupload, and many more plaese its my request to releases advance plugin means which have custom field option thanks

    I was wondering if it is possible to customize the fields in the widget. It could be really great to add – e.g.- some new field into the post.

    I installed quick post widget in on my WPMU site and it works well on my chrome browser but, when I open it on firefox or IE8, the page is empty. Any reason why this happening?

    Had some mail contact and testing with Jollence. Turned out to be a small misunderstanding.
    Only profiles Author, Editor and Admin for registered users can post.
